Of course it will. It will start to recover next year. People will still be edgy though. In about 3-5years things will probably be fairly normal, baring in mind other disasters and government stupidity which can not be predicted. |

It is already recovering,but not in a straight line.After the end of March (which is predicted to be the lowest point of recession)the markets will be looking for any signs of stabilisation,rather than negatives (as now)sentiment will slowly improve,but full on recovery is early next year |

Yes, it always does. We have it as bad since The Great Depression, but we are no where near that, not even close, and they had the 1950's. How long is merely speculative and dependent on what you gauge it by. When it does recover, expect fantastic growth. |

Well unless we are heading back to the stone age the market will at least have to find a new normal.
Nobody can see the future, so don't believe anyone that says they can. I've heard some say by next Fall the markets will recover. I've heard doomsdayers like Peter Schiff say we are in this for years to come.
I will say Peter Schiff did predict this downturn well in advance.

Yes it will! Now is the time to buy. This recent decline is a GREAT opportunity to buy. Money Magazine says it is going to recover in the middle of this year. The stock market usually recovers about 6 months before the economy starts to rebound, and they thing the recession will turn in the second quarter. So now is the time to buy!!! |

Think about this, the stock market is just that, a market. Stocks are worthless pieces of paper allegedly representing the value of a company. The value is determined by supply and demand....normally, but in this instance it can be manipulated. It will go up and down from here. will it ever reach 14000 again in our lifetime...who knows...can it get a lot lower...you bet, in a heartbeat. Can a stock go up in a down market...yes, just as a stock can drop like a rock in an up market. Experts are always wrong and right given enough time. Oil at 50 they said it could never go above 100...went to 140...they said get used to it and it could go to 200...went down like a rock to 40. If you wait and study, every stock will be a good buy at some point and a great sell at some point. Buffett studies a company decides what it is worth and waits till he can buy it at a bargain price. He is the best...emulate him and be patient. |
