no, the market has known he will be president tomorrow for quite a while. But his speach could affect investor confidence if there is anything new in the speach regarding his intentions to act on the economy. |

doubt it. Although if the stock market goes up (even totally unrelated to the inauguration), we'll hear all about it over and over again from the media. |

The market fell Monday/tonight closer to the 8000 support allowing for a rebound rally on Tuesday. There's no US macroeconomic data to negatively impact the Dow on inauguration day.
Most of these pessimists have no idea that the major part of his stimulus package is about creating and saving millions of US jobs. Unemployment is probably the most significant part of the recession and I was highly impressed with the Democrats initiatives for dealing with this matter:

It might have a little impact but i don't think tons of money are going to waste. Obviously this is the biggest inauguration ever and it is the one that costs the most. |

Yes. The cost of his record setting inauguration party might since in great part it is tax payer funded. This leads one to wonder if he will play reality Monopoly with the budget. Not a good decision given the state of the economy. First major blunder. I thought he was a ray of hope until his inaugural "party." Why are rock stars and other various celebrities needed to install him as CEO of the U.S.? Hand him a lunch bucket and tell him to go to work. |

No. The President has no power to create laws, give money, or implement plans of action. That's Congress's power. read the Constitution. |
