Will the welfare crowd finally kill the goose that lays the golden eggs??
will they by not repaying their mortgages, bring the whole financial system down?

You don't get it. It's not the welfare crowd. It's lenders who allowed borrowers (including the wealthy) to borrow much more than they could afford. Some of the wealthy aren't diligent about paying their bills and so their credit scores are low. So they went with alternative financing. The alternative financing is adjustable rates, where the interest goes up so far that they can no longer afford their housepayment. Don't blame the welfare people. Middle and upper income people have been caught in the same trap. The welfare crowd usually can't get any kind of mortgage, so they rent and don't own.

Your question shows your ignorance of the "welfare crowd".

The political pendulum has begun to swing back firmly in the side of the welfare crowd. Dont know if they have many mortages, though.

The goose deserved killing long ago. She is riddled with cancers.

It's not the welfare crowd who created this mess. It's the lenders, who made these idiotic ARM loans with teaser rates, thereby making people think that they could buy houses that they really honestly couldn't afford.

Mawia
There's a goose that lays golden eggs? Really? Where is it? What can I do to get some of those eggs? Gold was trading at over $600.00US today!!

BronzedPete
yeah thats how it works. people not paying their mortgages will bring the system down. welfare state and having a mortgage? wrong class of people mate

Barry C
Government supports the welfare crowd and government will bail them out. In other words taxpayers will flip the bill.
