well, i dont think it really matters, because socks are pretty cheap anyway. unless you go for like, dolce and cabana sorta stuff (which i think is kind of pointless), you can take your time. |

I think you're right and am loading up accordingly. I wouldn't tell you what to put your money in, but, pick strong, large companies that are stalwarts in their sectors. They will be the first to bounce back. |

Unless stocks are grossly overpriced, and unless your time horizon is short, it is always a good time to buy stocks. |

Top movers today were Bank stocks. Follow the money guys.REMEMBER they have taken a bath also. I hope they do not get a new bill to pass. Although I got hurt, Knowing the big guys got hurt tells me that now serious though will be considered. Maybe even the "short players " will get put out of the market.Remember again the only ones that voted for the bill were congressmen that were not up for re-election. Good luck. |

We just started going into recession, at least officially. It took about 2-3 years after the dot-com bomb to reach bottom, what's the big hurry? I say this cause I bought up Intel and other big names, only to lose plenty over that long time. The market will be very volatile for a while, until things actually improve. Good luck! |

A lot of people were betting that the stock market would go up today. And that's why they all had to run for the exits when things didn't work out as they planned. The same can happen later in the week.
I don't think it's a good idea to bet on how the politicians will move the markets. Because when it's the politicians who are moving the markets. Then economic consideration go out of the window. And markets become a lot less predictable.
You can easily loose your shirt on this kind of betting. Because this is the time when the markets are not behaving rationally in economic terms. |
