snurge | Would anyone like to invest in me to set up a restaurant? I don't have any money!? |
I want to set up a great restaurant in London, a casual affair based around fresh, local and British produce. Great quality wares in a comfortable 'stay all night' sort of atmosphere. Brimming with ideas, require about £250'000... I'll consider loans, equity shares or just donations. If push comes to shove, I'll consider marriage! |

Ha, ha, at least you are trying something which is better than the rest of the morons! Who knows, some rich Scheik might be online and read it...I know how you feel, I am in a similar position, brimming with ideas but also seeing all the obstacles too!
If you meet anyone..let me know, I am a great cook, entertainer and originate from the catering scene! Once in your blood...always!
good luck! |

Yep, I'll be more than happy to stump up £100,000 to help. I'll need to know what sort of food you'll be serving (I'm hoping Indian or Chinese!) and when you want the cash. Also, I'll need you to select this as best answer before any funds change hands. |

I'd love to be able to say I'd invest in you, but in reality, who will if you don't have any money yourself? Also, sadly, I don't have £250k lying around - not many do - but would want a fair share of the profits if I were investing that amount. I also suspect that anyone else would too. Are you looking to be self employed, or are you already, or are you in that line of business, and looking to break out on your own? It's a lot of money to invest yourself. It's also a lot to ask anyone else to invest on your behalf! |

I would like to do the same thing too. I suggest getting qualified first however that is possible, then build a cool yet conservative concept do a business plan and try for venture capital. I am on the way to becoming qualified myself.
OR find an existing Rest. that you think is not doing so well, and convince the owner that you can deliver x amount to him /her per month and take on a lease agreement. To start with, you can use this smaller option to build your skills and credibility then move on to greater things. |
