Would you buy a stock in a company you believe is doing the wrong thing?
Peace Arch Entertainment (PAE) is releasing an evil, evil movie. They are giving fame to the animal that killed John Lennon. How can anyone look to profit from this stock?

Remember John, Not his killer!!

It depends on how well their stock is doing. Certainly, I would buy stock from anyone as long as it is legal to do so and if they are making me money.

Take a look at Philip Morris and how many people own stock in that one. Its one of the big ones and cigarettes kill how many people a year? Find a real fight to fight for.

The stock doesn't look to safe to invest into. Only 50 people working for the company. I would stay away from this company unless you want to go in for a gamble, then why not.

in a business world, if the 'wrong' thing creates tons of revenue then as an investor, hell yah i'll buy their stocks.

sorry.. love for money is the root of all evil

I actually sold a stock that I found out was doing something I didn't approve of.

It is history and an interesting story whether you like it or not. It sounds like a movie that would be worth watching. Hopefully, it is an indy movie. They can get away with pulling no punches in telling the story better than a Hollywood story would.

By the way, thanks for telling me about this movie. Now I know to watch out for it. That is the problem with calling for the world to boycott something. You are just calling attention to it.

That is a moral question. It is not like they are poisoning kids. Ever hear of free speech?

Great Days
I research the corporate mission ( purpose
of being ) before I purchase corporate
stocks.

In your example, I will not buy their stocks.

Do any of the proceeds actually go to Lennon's killer, or his family? I doubt it -- this is now illegal in the US. Does the movie (and I assume you have watched it or at least read the final script) glorify the killing of John Lennon or anyone else? Further, do you believe movies like 'Schindler's List' or 'Mississippi Burning' or 'Saving Private Ryan' should have been made and released to the public? All of these depicted horrible acts perpetrated on innocent people...but none of them condoned those acts, let alone promoted them. PAE CN is a media production and distribution company putting a film out there that tells a story...this is not a moral question at all unless you honestly believe, based on having seen the film, that they are condoning the killing of Lennon. As long as they pay their dividends on time I don't care what they do -- Halliburton, ExxonMobil, Chick-fil-A, you name it.

Faceless
No I would not.

Anyone who kills like that deserves to be forgotten immediately. I don't remember what's his name.

Use only ethical investment organisations if you feel like that.
