No, there's no point. Unless your going to sell it you can make money on it. And second of all there's no way the soil is real. NASA has yet to create a way to bring back Martian soil. Chances are that cup of soil are from Earth. |

If I was worth 30+ million dollars, I definitely would. Why? I would attempt to sell it for more than a million.
With anything less than that in networth, the risk of not being able to turn a profit on a 1 million investment would be way too high. If I knew more about the going value of a cup of soil from Mars I might be willing to take the jump with a lesser networth. |

I wouldn't buy it, but your cup of soil would be worth many millions of dollars. Single known meteors from Mars have sold for many times that amount, but no one has ever had a handful of dirt. |
