i am going on a school trip to Washington DC. The money is due in 4 months! my family is pitching in a little but most of the money i have to raise myself. my family isn't that wealthy. i am going to do more babysitting, and for the next couple of weeks i am going to sell concessions at my brother's flag football games, but everytime i only make about $30. i need easy and quick ways to make money. i'm actually going with my friend's school, and they already did all their fundrasing, so it's not like i could do fundrasing with the school. it's not like i could do a car wash all by myself. i'm also way too young to have a job, and i wouldn't have the time eaither, i'm taking all pre-ap classes at my school. i've been setting goals on how much money to raise each month, but i don't know on how to achieve those goals. any advice you guys could give me would be wonderful. i really want to go on this trip! please help! |

i suggest you save that money and start investing it.

flip ur $30....invest in a bake sale,car wash,sell suppers....it's time to do ur own fund raisers....also have ur friends pay u 2 do thier homework..dats how i survived college!!!!! |

whoa, there. you only need 1200? when i was in the 8th grade i went on a trip for school to washington dc (my ex wanted me to go), we had to raise 3000. but my parents payed for it...
well you can ask family for donations? go around and advertise for different jobs around your neighborhood? just do what ever it takes. |

almost same situation here! but i had like a whole year to raise $6,000 for a people to people student ambassador program. my parents didn't let me go 'cuase they didn't think i could raise the money. SORRY!!!! =( |

I went through the SAME exact thing my 8th grade year (for my DC trip). I was able to go through the generousity of people. My advice to you would be to send out support letter to your family to see if any of them will help pitch in for your trip. You'd be surprised at the kindness you'll find in friends and family. Even if only 50 out of the 100 letters you sent out responded with 20$, that's 1000$ right there. |

Try getting donations from familiy and friends and do a rummage sale along with a bake sale on a weekend. Depending on what you can get donated you can make a few hundred really fast. Don't sell clothes, make it all furniture, knickknacks and stuff that people will pay more than 1.00 for..if you sell food and drinks during the sale that will help.
That is an awful lot of money to raise by yourself in 4 months.. good luck! |

Have a garage sale, take some clothes you don't wear anymore to Plato's Closet,Mow lawns/rake leaves, ask your parent's for chore list...clean the whole house, take garage out, dishes, clean room. Clean your grandparent's house, etc... |
