In the US, you need to contact your county (since you are in the country) poverty program and see if they have grants. You might also contact Habitat for Humanity and see if they can help |

The house could be what is making you sick (molds). Turn to a financial advisor or to HUD. They can help. Also, consider reverse mortgage from your bank...most seniors or disable persons sometimes need these type of mortgages to spend their last days comfortable. |

most states have low income programs that can fix windows leaks and provide you with heating and cooling unite its called the weatherization program since you didnt list a state youd have to do the search you may also contact habitat for humanity |

just to fix it up, there are no grants, but if it is to help you move around, go up and down stairs then thats different, it has to be because it will help your disability, not because you cant fix up your home |

Sorry to hear about your situation. It sure is hard to get by these days.
Do you have a social worker that helps you?
Are you registered with any agencies associated with your disability? If not you should get registered.
Call the hospital or your state legislator or police victim services, anyone who does community service in your area could probably help hook you up with a Social Worker in your area. As I understand it, their job is to help you in your time of need, by facilitating research on loans, grants, and other opportunities that might help you get the money you need for the repairs.
If there is a college in your area, you might look to some of the charitable organizations there, that may be looking for a project.....Maybe a high school shop class, or a trade school could help with the labor end of it.
Make your needs known to the community.
In times past, the community would come together around their citizens in need, and that could happen again.
It is not begging or putting anyone out, to make your needs known.
Tell real people, whomever you have contact with, that you need help. If you can locate a social worker, even if they don't handle cases such as yours, they can probably guide you in the right direction.
Do as much as you can as far as estimating what you would like to have done, and be motivated when you are speaking with people who could potentially help you.
The best thing I can tell you is that nothing will happen if you don't begin to reach out to people that CAN help, and if you do not ask, you will not recieve.
Local papers might be of help too?
Reach beyond the internet.

you might try consumer credit couseling service. They are non-profit organization. But you having only the income per month does not give you any margin for error does it! I mean you are making a month the amount alot of us make in a week!! I hope maybe someone, maybe a family member can step in to help you out..really! God bless you :) |

All I can suggest is to check with state & U.S. government to see what is available for your situation. You should be getting printouts from the government with your worker's name and phone number. You can start with calling her/him to get info. Also I was given the following site: I hope is correct: www.socialsecurity.gov Try calling the number for your worker, he/she should be able to help you get in contact w/the correct office. If I find more info. I will e-mail you, I took down your address. |
