A guy is contacting me proposing a business: I can earn millions £! Fake?
I'm the solicitor to a deceased (property magnate) who died alongside others in the July 7th, 2005 London underground bomb blast in the UK.

Since then, I have been managing her properties here in the U.K which she put out for sale. I monitored the payment as her attorney, has been bought and paid for. Now the money paid was deposited into her account. I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by her bank.
Particularly, the bank has issued me a notice to provide any of her next of kin or have the account confiscated within a short time. My late client has an account valued at £10.5 million.

And so on and so on...

I've to receive funds and to share with him...

Illegal, hoax and fake, no?

Absolutely a scam. The Attorney General is South Carolina is investigating these type scams. I get them frequently and we all know we do not get rich like that. I personally know people who have had to file bankruptcy because they deposited thousands or dollars hoping to strike it rich. If you get anything from someone you do not know, or it sounds too good to be true then you know it is a scam. You may want to call your local Attorney Generals Office or Department of Consumer Affairs. Believe me by the time you get one of these scam notices, they have received hundreds. I know because that is where I worked before retirement. And no one has made any money let alone get rich.

Definite fake.
This is not proper formal English, it's someone trying to imitate formal English. And the situation is implausible, and if you have never met this person before, don't go near them with a bargepole. Report them to the authorities if you can, Trading Standards at least.

This is a scam/fraud and probably originates in Nigeria. I bet he wants you to send money and/or requires your bank account details etc. Ignore it. Do not respond to this or any further contact however it arrives. Do not be tempted.

Sure sounds like scam to me.

Next thing you know he will want your bank account numbers so he can "deposit money" into your account. Of course that will never happen.

This is a variation of the Nigerian Diplomat Scam. Someone needs your account to "park funds" that they either can't do themselves or because the owner is dead. This form of it became especially popular after 9/11.

Wildwitch

Absolutely - do not touch it - especially if they ask you to deposit and part with money and/or give them money up front.

Many of these scams originate in Nigeria and the financial crime authorities take them very seriously

I get these all the time, in one form or another. The first question is one of logic... why would anyone pick my out of the blue. The answer is SCAM. That simple.
