A man I am interested in flaunted his paycheck stub...?
but pretended to be oblivious about it. He makes good money. Does that mean anything, or do you think he was just showing off?

well theres two ways to look at this . One, yea he's trying to show off by "unknowingly" showing you his paystub. Or two, he may not feel that he is someone youd be interested in whether its his looks, build (physical), etc. So this may be his way of trying to make himself "more" attractive to you in hopes that it'll make up for whatever he feels he's lacking in.

matt i
you should marry him for a while if he makes alot then get a divorce and take half!!!

means he's a douche. eff him

Private Account
Just showing off. That's immature.

crazyhumans2
He hasn't evolved yet. Must be the missing link that we are looking for. :)

JK
he's a loser.

he was trying to brag without it seeming like he was. he wants you to think of him as something better just because he has money - shallow shallow shallow. flaunting - subtly or flagrantly - is NOT cool.

It means he's immature, egotistical, and a braggart. Why are you interested in a guy like that? Look for a grown up.

Just Ducky
He is showing off, but it means his values are "shallow". If he's young, in his early to mid 20's, OK, forgive him. He's young. He may still be alright. But older than that, beware!

steveangela1
ignore him... stay away! if hes doing that hes hard up and despirate to get attention from a girl.. and will treat you bad... take it from me... go for the down to earth guy... like a good ol country boy... they work hard.. and very nice

timmytude
How much was it? I bet mine is bigger!

Yeah, he was showing off - I've tried it before (but it's never worked for me). But I guess it means he likes you, I never do it to girls I don't care for.

will
were you impressed?

ask him why he did what you described.

MackMama
It means he's lame. If that's the best he can do to impress you then he doesn't have much going for him. Ugh.

lady25mo2001
Yuck, first of all he's tacky enough to flaunt his paycheck and then he's bad enough at pretending that you know he did it on purpose? Yuck he's majorly insecure and probably trying to make up for a small penis.

Monkey Man
He just wanted you to know that he was a "true playa fo real" and wanted to "reprezent" and "keep it real".....So don't be "fakin tha funk" or "str8 up frontin"

stargazer 100
HE WANTS you to feel secure maybe? And maybe he is showing off.

♥ Callie Ann ♥
showing off and thinking he is better than everyone! Don't get involved

lavendergirl
He was showing off. Sounds like a jackass.

Cap'n Donna
showing off....excuse me while i vomit

If he has money and assets, he would not flaunt it.

wondering in michigan
So showing it off. As well as showing off how insecure he is by feeling the need to have to use his big paychecks to try to impress you.

psoeffing
Showing off for sure. Also, that particular paycheck may have included a lot of overtime that he may or may not usually get, so don't believe that his pay is that good all the time.

He is obviously an insecure person that is trying to impress you.

dustiiart
Proceed with caution, he could simply be enjoying the moment but then again, he could enjoy flashing Rolex knock offs, slapping down Gold cards in a big show at dinners etc.

In my books the guy who is low key is usually the one who is also more financially independent. Those who are well off and make a good income are confident enough that they don't have to make sure everyone knows it too. Everyone will know it and they will respect the person for being down to earth instead of a blowhard. The last person I recall flashing their income around also left their house payment go 3 months to pay for the priviledge. However, two self made multimillionaires are always low key, humble and understated. Now they deserve their money and to flaunt it if they want to...yet they never do.

Hopefully he's just having fun but if it continues I'd rethink the guy.

Good luck
