Yes, they are all scams. It is a huge problem right now. Usually what happens is they send you a check and they ask you to send back a fee via western union...what happens is it takes the bank 15 to 21 days to find out the check was fake/forged/counterfite and that is longer than any hold they can put on the check. So the money you sent them is gone, and there is no money from the check you got. Usually because the bank can't hold the money for as long as it takes to find out the check isn't any good (under most circumstances the longest a deposit can be held is 11 business days and usually aprox $5000 has to be realeased after 5) the reciever of the bad check goes out and spends all the money. The bank gets notification that the check isn't any good, the take the money out of the recievers account and charge them fees if they are overdrawn. So now the money you sent is gone, your bank account is overdrawn, checks start bouncing causing more fees, and you are in a huge hole.
I am not saying all nigerians are bad, but the good ones do not advertise these loans on the internet. They are not legitimate and you should not be party to it. There isn't much legal action that can be taken because it isn't like the police can drive to Nigera to arrest these people. You will never get the money back and you will be in a bad spot financially. |

I would not deal with anyone who is contacting you outside of the United States. If you do and something goes wrong, you will have a very difficult time to correct it. Nigeria is notorious at being a scam country of the world. |

Its a scam. Now they're coming out of Brazil, the UK and other foreign countries. Anyone who askes you to cash something your bank account and send them the difference less a fee paid to you is a scam, plain and simple. The checks bounce and you're in the hole. |
