Being paid monthly is a huge pain in the ***! It de3pends on how old you are and what you started at, plus your education.
Even so, four years in one job should be enough experience to go to another job and earn a bit more. |

It would really depend on your job description and your location. If all you do is answer phones all day and greet customers, sounds like a good pay rate. If you are doing production work and generating income for the company, you may be able to negotiate a raise if you are a good employee. |

Well it depends where in the country you live for one if you live in CA thats bad but OK thats good and getting paid monthly doesnt mean your getting ripped off |

Son, the only person who can rip you off is you. (In this kind of situation)
People (that would be you) like to be passive and "expect" rewards to flow to them as a result of keeping the seat warm. That isn't that way the world works.
Here's how it works: after two years on the job, you should have a pretty good idea if you are a valued member of the team who is going to go places: you will get regular reviews and raises; you will be introduced to people higher up the ladder; you will be asked to be a part of upcoming projects; and you will be scouted -- ask indirect questions -- for promotions, re-locations, and additional job duties.
If this hasn't happen in FOUR years, you are in a dead end job and the ONLY way to improve your situation is to get your lazy butt out in the job market and find a job that pays you what you think you are worth. If you are actually worth it, someone will pay it to you.
Plan and simple.
No one owes you jack.
You earn what you are worth.
You get what you stand up a demand. |

depends on your area, and how you feel? Your raises in the past, and how hard you work.
If you think you are working too hard for your money, apply other places! See if you can find a job as good or better. Then compare the pay! 4 years is a long time to work at 1 company, and there isnt a faster way to get a raise, than to work for someone else! Who knows, instead of asking your boss for 11 or 12 an hour, go get hired some where who will start you at that or higher.
4 years looks good on a resume. I'm sure you can do better if you apply yourself.
Good luck |

yup, after 4 years you should have had multiple raises, unless you are a turd that calls in all the time, and doesn't do good work. |

Ask your boss for a raise is certainly better time management than this posting on Answers. Your problem solving skills are what keeps you at the $10 a hour. |

After four years you should have gotten several raises. Go to your supervisor/boss and ask why you have not. If it is something to do with your ability to do your job, then ask what you can do to improve. Are you always on time for work? Do you miss alot? How good is your job performance? Keep these things in mind before asking for a raise. |

of course you're getting ripped off, no one would be working anywhere if they weren't getting ripped off. What'd ya think this was a non profit organization. 4 years 10hr, in New York you'd be making more money at McDonalds by now. |

Talk to your co-workers if they feel the same or if they are being treate dthat way too.
If you think your being treated badly talk to your boss or quit, |

I'd say if you feel you deserve more then talk to your boss or start looking elsewhere. I wouldn't work for a company that paid monthly for a $10.00/hr job. |

Yes, tell your manager that you are going to start looking around for other jobs. If they like you, they should offer you a raise to stop looking. By the way, this is the polite thing to do when you are actually looking for a job, so they will admire you for being so professional. Who knows, maybe you will find a better job if you look and apply! |

you should be making more |

I would say to look for another job , and getting paid once a month is ludicrous... |
|

Am I even here right now?!
 |
You are not getting ripped off, $10 for a csr is average, and getting paid once a month is not uncommon. Why don't you either ask for a raise or show some initiative and tell your boss that you'd like to become a licensed agent (at his expense) so that you will have the opportunity for a higher income. |
