*Some crazy girl* | Am I poor or middle class? (details)? |
I am 22. I have $5000-$6000 saved. I don't own a house though, so I feel like I have nothing. Currently I have free rent beause of my job and only $800 income each month. I save a few hundred each month. Am I poor or average or what? I worry alot about my financial state. |

Poor or middle class? WHO CARES? that's just a "group" for politicians to argue about.
You're only 22, and have a lifetime to grow wealth.
You already have more money saved than most Americans.
You're saving a few hundred dollars every month.
You're above average, and and track to become truly wealthy.
Congratulations! |

I think you are doing GREAT. You have a good job, and the income is NOT low when you throw in the free housing. You are saving money, and presumably not in debt.
I think you are doing better then average young woman at 22 and you should be very proud of yourself. |

Your monthly income would place you in the lower ecomomical class per government guidelines. |

At 22 your doing fine.
Continue to save.
Look into these online savings accounts to put your money for a better return.

When you get about $1000 saved, look into opening a roth IRA with someone like Vanguard or Fidelity. |

sorry honey buy I would consider you poor. |

You have $6,000 saved. The "average" American has close to $8,000 in credit card debt! So by at least one measure, you are rich!
You certainly aren't poor, there are no poor people in the US (ask an Ethiopian)! |

Your income is nothing great but free rent is one heck of a benefit and the fact that you are able to save money is great. I'd say you are doing fine, especially considering how young you are and that you've already saved a good deal of money in comparison to your income. Just a guess here, but I suspect you are better off than most. |

ur not poor, ur in the lower middle class. remember that although ur salary is really low, ur job also pays for a place for u to live. also, u are still starting out (and ur really young)and when ur older and have finished ur job training u'll make more money. don't feel too bad about it and its good that ur trying to save up ur money as oppposed to spending it all. lots of young adults r in ur shoes. |

If you take how much you make per year which is around $9600. That would be considered poor, but I have never met a poor person who has 6k saved up. Considering that the middle class is disappearing faster then we can shake a stick at. I would consider you poor, but on their way to being rich. So keep on living below your means and save, save, save... Might consider reading David Ramsey because he would verify that you are on the right path. Way to go! |

you are too young to worry about such things. It is great that you have so much money saved, keep going. you may want to put some in a CD or an IRA, even being young your financial institution should be able to help you. This will grow into more money for you. At least a nest egg. It is great if your job offers a 401k and matches it to a certain amount. Go to school, get a career that you enjoy and one that will take care of you in the long run. You are at the low end of income. You could not live on $800 a month So you have a long time ahead of you to worry about your finances. Keep working at what you are doing, get a degree or tech school to get a better paying job and keep saving. |

Why settle for low or middle class when you could have upper class. All it takes is to have imagination for the tool and determination for the fuel.
I have five businesses. The one I can give you to get you started will cost you nothing, it has No products to sell and No service to provide. Best of all you own a business with a passive income, 24/7 and you can own it right from where you're sitting
Just go to :WWW.BABBOMALL.COM and watch the 'Business Video'. It takes about 15 minutes. If you really want to be 'upper class' check this out. It could change your life.
Best of Luck and God Bless
Jim
