Well it works out 2b around $3.00/hr. if your happy with that? but u r making only 0.25% of min. wage. That's pretty low. |

sounds not bad for 14 if you enjoy it and the person treats you well or you like the kids
there are better paying jobs but this person may only be able to afford a lesser amount |

Maybe you should get a bit more..do you babysit everyday?
But..if you babysit from 3-6 its usually easy to get a baby sitter for those times so they dont give you as much i guess... |

depends on how many days. if it's only 1 day it's actually a lot |

it depends on how often you babysit the child. if you babysit the child over four days a week yes you are getting underpaid because that means you are babysitting for about twelve hours and not even achieving minimum wage. Which i think is way over $5.15/ hr you should really talk to your mom because you are probably getting cheated especially if u have to watch the child over. Or you could just start charging by the hour and charge extra for having to watch the baby later. |

I would pay you 7 dollars an hour and that's 1 dollar below california minimum wage, therefore if you worked 15-20 hours a week you would be getting paid $105-140 a week. But that's me, be greatful for what you are already getting, otherwise find a new client or get another job. |

no, ur only 14 getting paid up to $2.50 a day and u only babysit one kid. at the same time it depends on how old the kid is and how much of a hassle the kid is. but from the information u gave ur pretty well off set. |

Our sitters get a range depending on thier age, CPR certification, whether she cleans up, and if they can drive her self home.
What are oyu doing to add value, outside of sitting? Dishes? Notes, comments about the evening for the parents, 'Jr was good but was fighting with little brother about legos' etc,.

I think it should be a little bit more but you are not at the legal age to get min. wage yet. If you don't like it then just stop doing it |

If its everyday, it should be a little more like 70 wouldnt hurt. |

yes i babysat 2 children for new years eve for like 4 hours and they were already sleeping and i got paid $50 |

Is this Monday thru Friday? How old is the kid? If the kid is in diapers and requires constant supervision, you're probably underpaid. If the kid is independent, school age, $50 is fair. |

How many days a week? If its five i would ask for a raise |

Whether you are getting paid too little or not shouldn't you be glad you are getting paid at all? In other words be grateful for the extra income. Unless you find a better job to replace it you might have to stick with it |

at your age with no responsibilities or bills i would have to say no. but your not really in a position to ask for more. technically speaking yes u are making below minumum wage and personally if u were watching my kids id pay 10 an hour. |
