What goes around comes around, I guess. But it's still a bad thing to happen and not good for the economy. |

I dunno what is going on with banks either, I robbed one just the other day and instead of the usual £150,000 I got just £35,000. I planned this job for weeks and spent time and effort on it, expecting a big payout, so was very dissapointed at the amount.
Who can I turn to though, eh! We do not have a Union. |

You're happy for the 24,000 people who have now lost their jobs and have families to support and mortgages of their own?
Right ok. |

not every person who works in banking gets mega bucks.
there are going to be a lot of families damaged here and a ripple on effect in the local economy.
hopefully oil should come down. i have had a bad shoulder for 3 years and unable to drive. at first it was a nightmare - now i'm used to it.
saved lots of money and lost some weight, and the public transport where i am isn't that good. vote with your feet at least on petrol for your car. |

First and foremost, Lehman Bros. is not a banking institution. It is more of a brokerage company for people to invest in. Their customers are investors. Bank workers are normal workers like you and me, they work in banks. And banks are financial institutions to provide banking services to us. As a customer of a bank you have every right to query them if you have any complaint and they have to give you a satisfactory answer. |

I have to admit I dont particularly feel sorry for the parasitic bunch of 'bankers' losing their jobs |

the banks and big oil are unfortunately the backbone of our country that no longer produces anything...all we do is assemble....
When the banks fail the dollar drops in value....anytime the fed drops its rates the dollar drops in value....you have to understand things are not getting anymore expensive its the fact that the dollar just isnt worth as much as it used to be....america has lost its buying power to the euro.....thats my oppinion |

If you are referring to the collapse of lehman brothers bank then allow me to explain a few facts to you. The bank may be bust but the major investors in Lehman bank like other banks and large multinational companies will not lose there money, they will get there money back from someone.. can you guess who that "someone" will be..Banks never loose |

I think next time they should think before trying to get over on people. Its like somebody putting a dream of yours in front of your face and saying here I don't know a lot of people that would have not taken it also some of these people was first time home buyers who didn't know the difference between Fixed rate or Adjustable rate so it should have been explained better to them instead of "sign here and the home is yours" |
