I have been in such a position. The Key here is not to borrow any more. If you borrow you will end up in a bigger hole. First check out craigslist- the gigs section in particular- for a day or 2 of work (in numerous fields) you can earn a few hundred dollars especially if you live in a big city. Usually gigs are paid in cash as well so no need to stress about checks and the sort. Second assess everything you own, but don't need. For example I love my ipod, but had to contemplate pawning it to cover a debt- it's all material possesions, you can buy new, better ones later. Third and finally and most important, don't stress or compromise yourself for this situation. Trust me there are so many ways you could make $5000 in 24 hours, but I doubt you're THAT desperate. Everything always works out in the end- life is crazy sometimes. Rock on and good luck |

You don't. You can't borrow your way out of debt. All you can do is sell stuff, or pawn stuff, or find a job. Borrowing is going to make things worse.
Start by selling EVERYTHING that has any value to it. Have a massive yard sale. Advertise on Craigslist.
Needless to say, stop buying ANY fast food, rip up your credit cards, invest in rice & water. They'll fill you up, and it won't kill you to eat just that for a month. (although oatmeal is cheap & yummy, too).
Stop spending, and fix the income issue. Then pay off the debt as you can afford to. |

If you borrow money to pay your debt, guess what - you're still in debt! You just owe it to a different person, and at a different rate.
I'd focus on EARNING the money - even if the job sucks or is below your skills, it's only temporary - to pay back the debt and prevent you from accumulating more. |
