Getting Rich means different things to different people. Is $1,000,000 enough? $10,000,0000? or more? Or do you mean a worry free and loving life with family and friends?
To accumulate wealth - you have to put it away - so it can accumulate. Choose the right place, so it can do the best job. For example: Short term money - cash accounts; savings, money market and checking. Long term money: Consider mutual funds - a balanced one (say 60% equity, 40% bonds) could give you a reasonable return with reasonable risk.
Short term - Anything under 10years. Long term: 10 years or more.
Stocks and bond have a tendency to move up and down, so you need to give them a chance - you have a GREATER chance of having more than what you started with, if you leave it there 10 or more years. Anything less and you will have a good chance of having LESS than what you started with.
Now - getting rich - you need a number - then you can plan for it.
Otherwise it is like saying: "I want a fantastic wonderful holiday!" - On the beach? On a mountain? In the woods? Canoeing? Skiing? etc...
"I need to have $275 for this bike" - Easy - to get the bike, put away $23 a month into a savings account (a lot of on line accounts are now paying over 4.5% - HSBC Direct, Citibank direct, Emigrant direct) and you will have $275 (more actually) for the bike.
"I want a great adventure in Sydney Australia" - Easy - Look up travel sites, get package info, workout package that suits - cost $3,500 - put away $292 a month and at the end of 12 months you will have the money - too much? Halve it and you can go in two years or whatever multiple works for you.
You can plan to be as 'rich' as you like - the earlier you start, the 'easier' it will be - As you can put away less and take on less risk.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck! |

Land. As long as the population keeps growing, so will the need for land, and that means the price goes up the longer you keep it. It's a pain in the gazornch, but buy an older house, fix it up and rent it. That makes your mortgage payment and a little more, and you wait for the value to increase. Remember, though, it's all about location. |

The trick to getting rich is to prepare properly for your future. Most often, that means going to school. I know, it sucks, but think of it all as a big game. You play by the rules and you win.
Everyone I know who got rich did so by getting an education, getting a stable job, and then budgeting their money responsibly over a long period of time.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you. |

Certainly, but it would take a lot of time. Compounded interest will build up some impressive numbers with small amounts of capital. In the stock market, compounding is accomplished in stock splits and reinvested dividends. One thing that puts a damper on it, though not nearly as bad as it used to, is taxes. Open an IRA, that way taxes are deferred until you start taking the money out when you retire.
Check out the "millionaire calculator" below. Good luck |

There's a trade-off between risk and reward. If you want to increase your capital with low risk, you'll only get a small rate of growth. If you want a large rate of growth, you'll have to use highly risky investments where you might lose everything. |

If you work really hard, you can make a fortune in a home based business. You can sell products out of the comfort of your home. If you're good at it, you can become rich. |

You may try to invest in equities, in forms of Shares or Mutual Funds, but u need to carefully analyze the markets. Further u may start lending money against interest pay back, or start a venture with skills u r best with |

eBay
when i first started i made about $1000 in the first month.
Start by selling items you want to get rid of (Items around your house, DVDs, electronics, etc.) just to get the hang of it, then find a wholesaler on-line, invest some money, then sell items 2 or 3 times the price you bought them for.
Find a good wholesale website then sell...sell...sell, and watch the money roll in. |
