Either pay it off in full--the ideal. Or pay it off gradually. And if you can't pay what they're asking, speak with them and explain your situation. Perhaps you'll be able to work out a better repayment plan.

You could go through a debt management agency. I have debts over £15k. A debt management company will contact your creditors and get them to agree to accept smaller repayments. Mine is down to £100 per month instead of £400!
The worst thing you can do is to get a 'debt buster loan'!
