withdraw 100 pounds, and keep your card where you cant reach!
may be in another city with a relative or friend u trust.
If you dont have no one to trust with your card, then dont move with it.
Get 100 out and keep the card far away as u can!
and buy all you need for a week, so that you dont come up shot in the middle of the week to tempt you bring out the card.
Ohhh..... and cook your own food! dont buy ready cooked food! |

Its tough but it can be done so here are some ideas...
Buy food that is filling and can be made into many things...Potatoes are a good one, you can make mashed, baked, home fries, and potato chips for a few ideas. And if you make potato chips you wont have to buy them! Pasta is another good one to buy that is cheap and filling, you can put anything on pasta and it will fill you up quickly.
Walk to where you need to be when you can. I know sometimes its impossible to walk (IE. its to far) but the times you can you will save money on gas and a little exercises doesn't hurt anyone.
Cut coupons from Sundays papers...I know very few people do this anymore but it does save and is helpful.
Drink water more...less soda or more expensive beverages.
And sadly going out and hanging out is not going to happen for a month....BUT if you are serious about this you can do this and what you get is a huge reward!
Good luck and happy saving! |

When you about to buy something think of money and
whether it is worth it or whether it's absolutely necessary.
For example, clothing, toys whatsoever. |

Check your prices at the grocery store... It is amazing how some don't even compare prices with brands when the taste is the same.
Get out the sweater and turn down the heat.
Get out the bicycle and park the car.
Turn off the lights, no reason for people to have a light on in every room but as I just returned from Europe, I found danm near everyone leaves the lights on all day even when they are not home. What a waste !!! |

open a separate account and arrange it with the bank so they won't allow you to withdraw any money out of the account until a certain date. |

think about what you need and what you don't need when you are shopping, make your own meals rather than go out or buy them ready made in shops, find something interesting to do with your evenings that doesn't involve spending lots of money. Maybe have a look at what you are spending your money on, and think about what you could cut down spending money on. |

make your lunches (don't buy them at work). Make dinners that last a couple of nights. Things like chilli/spag bol/casseroles etc. Give yourself one night out at the weekend with a budget. Don't go out Friday AND Saturday. I find having the actual cash as well helps. So you know this is what you've got to spend, and you can't go to the ATM and get more out til the weeks up. good luck. Saving money sucks. |

There are people living on less. Only you know what your priorities are. You know the obvious ways to spend less... buy only what you need and put off luxuries. Compare the value of things you need to spend on... is it worth it? Only YOU can answer those questions when it comes to saving or spending. |

Take lunch to work with you, try and eat dinner at someones house (parents are great for this) If you are on pay as you go don't top up your phone, try and get lifts where ever possible or walk instead of using the car or taking a bus. Give up your morning coffee/choc bar. use 2 4 1 offers, buy in bulk from super market and make cheap meals like pasta bake etc. how about holding a boot sale or selling some things on ebay to get more money ?? |
