Reply to the person by saying “the fear of EFCC is the Beginning of wisdom” that will be the last you’ll hear of the person.
EFCC is Nigerian regulatory body that tackles Fraud within and outside the country.
I think you should go to Google and type in “EFCC Nigeria” its short for Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
You’ll get to read bout all their reports and advice on e-mails like that.

This is called a "Nigerian 411" or "Advance Fee" scam. The cons insist that you pay fees of some sort to claim winnings or inheritance monies. In fact, it's two scams at the same time... First, they offer you money that is purely counterfeit. Second ( and most dangerous) they want you to wire them legitimate funds from your own account. Don't do it! These people operate like smash and grab artists, that is they take your money and are gone before most banks even realize the situation. This info. comes straight from the Secret Service ( and personal history =( ). |

Contact your State Attorney General's office. They will tell you that any contest/lottery/sweepstakes CANNOT charge fees of any kind for delivering your winings. While you are in contact with the Attorney General give them any information that you have about the people who contacted you. The best rule of thumb is if someone asks you for money to claim a prize (even if they send you a check to cover the expenses, which is almost always going to be counterfeit), IT'S A SCAM!!!! |

I don't think there's too many of us that don't know about scams like these. If you need to show your son proof, just look anywhere on the internet.
I've said it once, I'll say it again...You can't win if you don't play, International lotteries are illegal in the United States and you'll never have to pay a fee to claim your winnings/prize! Taxes are your responsibility after the fact. |

There are thousand of rip-offs that have originated in Central Africa. All of then involve "phishing", they want to get personal information on you in order to access your credit or banking information. Do not ever respond to them. Report them when you can. Many articles, including some in Yahoo News have been written. but stupid people outnumber smart ones. Just be a smart one. You are not going to get something for nothing. |

Let me just ask you this..don't you think if your son was getting 10 million they would be able to take the trans fee right out of the 10 million..heck if they wanted.they could take 1 million for trans fee and give him 9 million.....
My friend just recently recvd that e-mail.....they sent her a picture of the money, and said once she sends the trans fee they were going to come out to either florida or some other state and come to her house to give it to her!
The police were involved and everythng, but all they had was an e-mail...on top of that, these people said they were from nigeria but they had very common name like Stevenson!!!! ..........please don't let him be fooled enough to do it, all a big scam |
