No - haven't been for 6 years now (after ds#2 was born). It certainly took some belt tightening at first, but now, my husband's salary has far surpassed our combined salaries back then, so it's been worth it. He has told me that having me at home to do all the doctor's appts. and sick kid days has allowed him to focus on his work and be there when he needs to be and that has allowed him to advance.

It can be done, but you have to be willing to give up the American dream of a 10,000 sq. foot house and two brand new cars every two years. We budget and save, just like our grandparents used to do (no credit card debt), drive two paid for cars, and live in a small house with a small payment. We just got back from an in-state vacation and used cash for everything. Planning a trip to Florida at Christmas and it's already saved for.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but there you go.
