I've totally cut out everything that's unnecessary. No phone, no internet, no cable, no newspapers, no magazines. I drive less, even though the cost of gas has come down. I don't eat out, I bring my lunch to work [where I do have access to internet]. I make foods from scratch [not prepackaged, or boxed] and I make it in bulk for the rest of the week, or to freeze for later use.
I did a lot of gardening this summer and am going to learn to can from my neighbor, for next year. That'll save in purchasing vegetables and fruits.
I invested in a freezer and buy my meat in bulk. I paid approximately $1.00 per pound for a pig and a little more than that for half a cow. That saves me a lot on the grocery bill.
I always ask myself do I need this, or can I live without it. If I can do without I do. I don't purchase anything with credit. If I don't have the cash, I don't buy it, or I save until I can buy it. |

Oh yes Cutting coupons, walking to work, spending less, shopping around and so on are just a few examples of ways that I spend less. |

we no longer go out to eat. I have begun shopping consignment and resale shops to make my money go further and I have also begun selling my old items on consignment. I get free things with the money from the items that have sold. GOTTA LOVE THAT> |

yes we have cut back with "date nights" and hiring a babysitter. if my mom can't keep the kids for a few hours we don't go out.
we've also cut back with going out to dinner w/ the kids as well...home cooked meals now.
also i started staying home in May so I do not have to fill up my SUV as often and really don't go far from home.

I am trying to cut costs in grocery shopping.
I'm shopping at the discount stores more often. Such as grocery outlet and Winco foods. I also use coupons more often too. I'm alsbuyingng dried beans instead of canned ones. |

I have stopped paying my credit card debt. I can no longer afford it. Times are way to tough. O'well, I'm sure it'll bounce back up in a few years. |

Nope, i already cut back normally. I'm a penny pincher at heart. I already look for the best bargains and i rarely ever impulse buy.
I normally do cut back, if i don't need it, i don't get it. Even with the economic times now, it's a stronger incentive to stay my course as a penny pincher. |

Trying to find a job. Im not doing much different because I was a smart spender from the start. And I only take what I need unlike those stupid CEO's who think the economy will be ok with them still reaping in millions for their boats and private jets. |

No. I personally can't see much difference yet. I am building onto my house, I still go where I want to, just bought a new motorcycle, having fun shopping for Christmas...not sure who this affects. |
