Are you happy with your annual income?
Why?

"A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of."
Jane Austen

"For me the greatest source of income is still movies. Nothing - stocks, financial speculation, real estate speculation or businesses - makes more money for me than making movies."
Jackie Chan

"Wealth - any income that is at least one hundred dollars more a year than the income of one's wife's sister's husband."
H. L. Mencken

I'm not happy with my annual income, and I make $75,000. The company owns more of me than I want it to. They approve my time off, not me. I cannot, at my present income level, for example, buy a house, without scraping by each month, or live the lifestyle I want to. I learned, though hopefully not to late in life, that owning your own business is much better than working to make someone else rich. Warren Buffett, I believe said, "It's better to be medium good in a great field, than to be great in a poor field."

I'm happy with what I make and what I have. I have to shake my head sometime at people that get caught up in the inane competitiveness of having the most stuff and the best stuff. I read a quote awhile back that I've always liked."A wealthy man is not someone that has the most but someone who needs the least"

No, not at all. I will in the future when I get my nursing degree though. (I make $7.00 an hour) that really blows.

I would be happy with enough to provide food, clothing, and shelter for family. And I am. I don't believe that money buys happiness either. There have studies on happiness that show that very poor tribes from third world countries are on average just as happy as anyone from a prosperous western nation.

No I am not happy! I went from a wage donkey making 60-70K a year, to a self employed person making 10K a year. The good news, I will probably end up earning more in the long run. I don't have to wear clothes to work, and I work probably 10 or 12 hours a day.
But, until we are grossing 900K a year...im not happy

(0ver the money, other places yes Im happy)
