We have been so much better since we stopped using our bank card. Now my husband and I get out a certain amount for groceries, restaurants, and spending money every month. When the cash is gone, it's gone. It has worked so well for us. We had a lot of credit card debt, and it's almost paid off. I'm so excited! We're going to be able to move to a bigger house in a better neighborhood soon! |

Good for you I'm in control of mine its a simple procedure by simply going through everything you pay and see what is unnecessary and most defiantly get rid of credit cards,Good luck to you and stick with it |

I am totally in control of my finances.
I have a fine web of direct debits and transfers, all of which funnell money from one account into another. I have enough on a weekly basis to pay my bills and living expenses, and also kick an extra hundred dollars into the mortgage. Hopefully I'll have no mortgage in 5 years.
My system doesn't require a budget. I just don't spend everything that I get, so there is always a surplus. That surplus carries over into the weeks where I might have a bigger bill.

I spose if i answer "i think so" this possibly means i am not- i did used to keep record of everything that came in and out but since i had children that was flushed away- maybe i need to start it up again!! Thank you for reminding me!

I am now that I have gotten rid of all my credit cards, loans and debit cards!! I only use a cash point card so know exactly where every penny goes and it is so much easier cos I can't be tempted to buy things with a card. It took me 7 years to clear my debts but now that I am debt free it feels great. |
