Are you planning for the recession? ?
Hoarding jewellery, tins of beans. Practising your speech for the Social Security "free kids and a wife Guvnor". Selling one of the cars, kids, kidneys?. Turning to drink?, choosing a shop doorway?. Selling your house for half what its worth?. Written out your cardboard notice
"Will write C++ for food"? Whats your strategy.

Me? I'm moving in with a friend. Now where did I put Hugh's number?

I'm saving money by drinking V8 juice and vodka instead of dinner.

What recession? It's the media giving it hype!

carol.
Planning for it? You jest ! It hit in October when my French Polisher husband had no work for the first time in over 40 years. Living on my £16 a week disability allowance doesn't pay the Bills and debt has reared it's ugly head.
I would happily sell a kidney but at 58, I don't think they are too desirable.
Having to tell your building society you can't pay the mortgage, not being able to buy grandchildren a present for Christmas and living on beans on toast is no fun.
The thought of being homeless makes this Chronic agoraphobic, clinically depressed woman wake up in panic in the night in terror of being homeless.
By the time the building society has sold our home and we pay off our lord&mastercard we will just be out of debt,; with luck.
I don't suppose Hugh has a shop doorway does he?

We don't need to sell our house luckily and don't owe anybody anything so I am focusing on things as normal and worry about them when they happen we can never be prepared enough anyway I am not going to stress over it.

And keep away from vultures and anything government like the "Common Purpose Meetings", these are some shady blokes joining up recruits for spying on your neighbour. Well I would say it is solicitation actually and more blatant big brother tactics.
And people should all be keeping an eye on what government are doing and stop listening to the scare propaganda on the TV and wake up and wise up to their bad Karma and the general creepy vibe they spread.

Certainly am old sport, I have already jacked up my tenants rent by 132%, their pay is on paper only, a sort of chit that can only be spent at my estate shop, alas the cost of provisions has gone up by 75% as well. Times are hard these days and I have met this young popsie in Soho that wants a new flat in Knightsbridge and an Audi TT convertible, so I have to get the cash from somewhere.
