I would cut out all the junk laying around taking up space and money, sell them, keep your life at minimum, then start buying Gold and Silver. Perhaps get some survival kit, food storage, and prepare for the worst. |

In order to mention the money allocation specifically, I presume the exact amount is 5 millions , since your range is from 4 to 7 millions. If I were you, I will allocate:
- 1 million in the bank saving account
- 2 millions in property investment
- 1 million in unit trust investment (of course must choose reputable unit trust company) - I won't consider stock market currently as I have not much knowledge in this field. Only invest in the field that you know will be a wiser choice.
- 500k in fixed deposit
- 100k for business investment - for example, invest in a company that you trust as a shareholder. Some small companies may have their potential to grow but may not have sufficient fund to achieve this purpose. If you trust the company, especially the operating director, you may consider investing some money to support the company after you have done some appropriate analysis on the company, provided the money you invest is your extra money that you don't need in short term period.
- 100k in gold investment
- 100k for charity
- 200k for miscellaneous - since you have a lot of extra money without any loan burden, why not contributing parts of your money to help people around to settle their debts, like home loan. The people I refer here are those people who are close to you such as family members or relatives.
