Future FBI | Bank of America ATM took my card? |
I entered the correct pin number, and it is not expired, I had plenty money in there. Tomorrow morning, I plan to go to BOA and ask them my card back, will I have any problems?

Also depends on the machine, B of A has several types, and if you don't hit the Return Card key after you're done with your transaction within a certain amount of time, it will assume you forgot your card in the machine and keep it, so the next person using the machine doesn't get it.
Also, if the ATM machine was not attached to the building, such as in a drive through car lane, you MAY not be able to get the card back from that branch. he ones that are attached to the building are serviced from inside the building. The ones in the drive through lanes are sometimes serviced by armored cars, and the money and cards are taken to another place for processing.
You could call the 800 number 24 hours a day, they should be able to pull up the transaction and tell you what happened. |

I used to work as a teller, and at one point in my career, I helped maintain them. You've omitted a key piece of information: Was your ATM card issued by BofA or someone else? If BofA, you'll get your card back; if not, then it's toast, as "foreign" cards are routinely destroyed. |

Normally it would give a message on the screen like:
"Card expired"
"incorrect PIN number"
If it did none of those you need to talk with the branch pronto. |

Most of the atms shred the card if it is left in the machine so that it will not get stolen. Most of the centers have zero control over the atms, because another company deals with them. They can however, cancel your old card and order you a new one if you go inside. I'm not sure where you are from but in most states they can give you a temporary card to use while you wait for your new card to be mailed to you. |
