Your brother shouldn't have touched the money as it wasn't his. He needs to pay it back. :-) |

yes they can take it back. and in actual fact you have committed criminal offence a woman got three years about six months ago for doing exactly the same as you have done.
granted it was for a far bigger amount,
dont demand an apology the boys in blue may come knocking |

they have a legal right to the money - sorry he will have to pay it back. |

The money was not his/yours to begin with, so he/you should not have touched it. Yes, they have a right to take it back, and no, he/you should NOT take your time paying it back, as it is HIS/YOUR fault he/you spent money he/you didn't have! |

Stupid answer guy

You have to pay them back! You have technically commited theft and you can be arrested and prosecuted for it |
|

Legally it's their money. They might prosecute you, they might give you a ccj and then you will end up owing even more. |

Though you may consider it as an error of withdrawing and saying that you were expecting a similar credit. Did you get the credit of 310 by now if so you are not at fault.
Banks has the right to take the money as it doest not belong to you, for example if it was other way round if you deposited 310 and they credited with 3.10 would you spare it. Like wise you will also make a noise.
Be happy that the bank has not taken steps being small amount they would have spared you.
Please pay back the balance and gain your reputation. |

Well if you want to demand an apology go ahead, but you must pay it back. Just cause a mistake was made there is proof proving the mistake. The mistake is now being corrected. If you don't as others have said could be charges or you could be put on some type of chex systems and not be able to open an account anywhere. |

This is dishonest everyone makes mistakes. If you were to make one mistake and work and get fired would you think thats fair. This happened to me aI had a payment of $85.92 and the credited that amount in my account I knew that wasnt mine so I left it and after 3 days they switched the amounts. This is adjusted by people making sure they are adjusting there credit and debit columns and were entitled to mistakes. So be honest and fix that is just dishonest and youre only stealing from someone else. |

It wasn't his money, he has effectively 'stolen' the funds, the bank have very right to claim it back. |
