Helen D | Best place to invest £75,000? |
Hello...
I've recently inherited a fair amount of money, which has fortunately enabled me to pay off the remainder of my mortgage, leaving me with £75,000.
At 62, with a reasonable pension, this is probably the last chunk of money I will receive - where would you suggest the best place to put it is? |

Hi
Firstly have a think about what you want the money to do for you?
Provide an income
Provide capital growth
Then you are in a better position to think about where it goes.
You also need to think about your adversity to risk. Essentially high risk products can give high rewards (but not always, thats the risk).
Low risk products such as savings account offer low rewards, but your capital is safe.
If you do not really need the money, why not give some to your kids (helps avoiding inheritance tax), or indeed go on a spending spree on whatever you want?
hope this is of some use. |

You need to seek professional advice from an IFA(Independent Financial Adviser). At your maturing age, you need to consider how much of it you want to spend, and how much you want to leave in your will, or whether your nest egg might be swallowed up in nursing home fees. (Sorry to sound so gloomy!) |

I don't know, but http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ has a forum where people can advise you on the best place to put it.
Personally, if you have no more financial commitments, I'd put it in a high interest savings account (probably split into 2 since they usually cover 100% of savings up to about £35,000) and take more holidays, travel to places I'd always wanted to go etc. |

Sir/Madam, As the case may be it would be hard trusting in Africa because of the supposed fraudulent activities here, however if you chance to find a trustworthy person or Organization to advice you here, there are a lot of places to invest you would never believe that would yield results unbelievable results. For example export of timber, Plantain chips, canned fresh fruit for supply within the nation, a free board zone company. a lot of places that is if you can get the stigma of Africa out of your mind remember a lot of British, Americans Chinese, Japanese, have invested here with a lot of benefits moreover the tax incentives are wow as well reparation of over 90% of your funds.
Just contact Africa Food Health Education Initiative for Advice if needed. af_heed@yahoo.com just for a brief and serious analysis of what I have just said. Also a lot of constitutional protection for your investments just ask and I’ll be pleased to inform you better.
