There's no way to get a loan at your age.... gotta wait until you're at least 18-21yrs old.... and besides, getting a loan isn't always a good idea because you end up paying back more than you borrowed because of interest - see http://www.fool.com
And if you hunt around the used car adverts, you can pick up some cars for $3500 that can be much more interesting and with more character than a $8000 new one (and it'll still get you to places you want to go, long as you look after it properly)

How are you making $1000/month at a parttime job? You can't legally work past 7:00 PM--just fyi.
Don't get a loan. Get a cheaper car. At 15 your PARENTS will have to get the loan, not you.
Besides, a $3000 car can be great at 15. You just need to keep it for 3-4 years to get through high school and a bit of college. |

honey, save your money. Don't get a loan. They probably wouldn't even grant one to you because you need a super steady job and let's face it how steady can a 15 year old be? Until your 16 you'll need Mommy with you anyway so you got time to kill. You're to young for debts! |

You cannot get a loan without a cosigner, since you are a minor. The loan could be considered null and void without a person over 18 signing for you. |

You can get a lot of really cool and good cars for $3500.00
I bought my first one a 67 Ford Fairlane GT for $ 350.00 and It was a great car it had a 390c.i. engine and a 4 speed ! You say you make 1000.00 a month , So in a few more months your purchasing power will go up even more .
Look around in the newspapers and advertisers , Try the magazines you find in convenience stores like Car Trader magazine and such . My brother found a great car in one of those !
Do your self a favor , write down some guidelines on what you want for your money to help you narrow down your search and stick to them!
AND : Before you buy anything ! Please take someone who really knows a lot (a mechanic would be great) about cars !
There are some shysters out there who will rip you off in a heartbeat so be careful my friend ! Good Luck and Happy Hunting ! |
