how refreshing to hear of a father facing up to his financial commitments to his child.
good luck to you in your new life down under but it would be lovely to think that you could be emotionally supportive to your child as well as financially.
try to remain in contact with them via phone, letter, video, etc.
you sound like a responsible guy.
Bon Voyage!!! |

So just make arrangements with your partner and stick to them and you will have nothing to fear from the CSA. And yes the CSA can track you in Oz - whether they would or not is a different matter. |

They can hardly track people down in Britain never mind Australia............... i think you might just manage to slip through the net. |

CSA wont really get involved unless your partner reports you to them.
Make personal arrangements with your ex partner, but make sure you get her to sign something, keep all your bank statements, otherwise, if things get sour, you wont have a leg to stand on.
But the answer to your question, is yes they can, and i'm pretty sure they can actually enforce the payments upon you, because i think the CSA stands ground there because Australia is our Queens. |

I've always thought if you have a private understanding with your (ex) partner to pay them child support direct and an 'ok' amount you don't need to go through CSA. If she is on a single parent pension/benefit, she would still have to tell them what she gets for child support and classed as income.
Edit - I am talking on experience from CSA between Aussie and NZ - not sure if you are relating your question to CSA in the UK |

They will only locate you if you are working for a UK based employer whilst abroad |

They can only get money from you if you live in the UK or if you are in the armed forces. If you move to OZ the CSA cannot get involved. |

I still don't know why men are stupid. Why don't they want to learn that having kids these days is like digging your own grave? |

They can track you anywhere in the world, however, as long as you are paying the agreed amount between you and the mother of the children they won't need to get involved only if the payments stop would they come looking for you!! |
