Sweetheart u can get a bank account now.My son is 19 and I started him at 15 with his own account. He now has a credit card. Once you get a checking and saving account then the credit card companies will mail u something.Don't get one that u have to pay money to have. Just wait until an application comes to were they usually give u 300.00 credit. That will be the beginning of your credit history. If they don't come in the mail fast enough for u then ask your parents to co sign for a small loan at a bank. This will get you started. Good luck |

zxdfmlp's answer raises an important point. Where are you from and where do you intend to open the account (country is good enough). In the UK, for instance you can drink at 18, but in other parts of the world these things vary, and I'd need to be sure of the countries involved to accurately advise you. |

i have a bank account with RBS and im only 15 so im sure you can get one
and from 16you can have a card to use in stores and stuf you should go to some banks and pick up leaflets to see what sonds the best for you an dthen see if you can talk to some one |

Yes you can and the best way to start you credit is to buy something small and make payments on time then build as you go.Stay away from credit cards.Good Luck |

Most definitely, Some banks even let use start your own credit history by giving you a credit card at the age of 15, by parents consent. So you shouldn't get any problems at 18. I assume that you want to start a credit history because you want good credit not just to spend away. Thank you for being responsible in advanced. We need more young adults like you!! |

yes there are plenty of banks where you can get an account even younger than 18. to start credit history, try getting an account with a small company first |
