timchedester | Can I go to jall if i quit my job if thy garnishee my check? |

No, you can quit each time they catch up with you to garnish your wages. This doesn't do much for your chances of future employment when your resume' shows that you hopped from job to job. Think it over, is it worth it? |

No. Your not a slave, at least not on paper. A judge can also reduce the amount they take out, call and ask a court clerk about it. |

no you cant go to jail for quitting your job, that is just silly and it has nothing to do with garnishment of your wages. By the way spell check is free |

Please hit "Check Spelling" on your future posts, mmmkay? Thanks!
No, you will not go to jail but they will catch up with you so might as well stick where you're and pay off the debt. |

No. You won't go to jail. They will just take everything out of your bank accounts. |

It depends.
Are they garnishing your check for child support? That's one of the most common reasons for garnishment. If that's your situation, have you had a court order you to pay that child support? How many times has that court told you to pay?
Eventually, a judge may get the idea that you're just not interested in following their order to pay the support. If the court decides that, then you can go to jail for contempt of court. So, technically you're not really going to jail for quitting your job, but rather for not paying the support.
I don't know as much about other garnishment situations, but I would imagine they would work in a similar manner.
As others here have said, however, it is almost always better for you in the long run to just let them garnish your check and eventually you'll get the debt paid. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life dodging the debt? |

No.
However, the Court could order you to work for the Government until the debt is paid.
This means you will go to Irak. |
