You can never have a "debit card" for a savings account. A debit card is only for your checking and is used as a "check card". You can, however, have an ATM card on your savings which allows you to take money out of the ATM. You can also add your savings account to your existing debit card, but once again you can only access your savings through the ATM. If you are making a purchase online you can chose the option to pay using your routing number and account number. Then, you can give the savings information. If this is not an option you may have to transfer money from savings to checking and then use your debit card. |
