I'm fairy sure that some grocery stores hire 14 year olds, obviously it depends on the laws in your state. Still you are going to be stuck doing something like mopping floors, or maybe bagging groceries. |

Not sure what the age requirement is but try a busboy at a restaurant like Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays. The waitresses give you a portion of their tips, but you have to do a good job for them too. Plus you get an hourly wage. Check with your guidance councilor at school. I'm not sure if it's still the same but you may need to get working papers from them and have a parent sign it. Then you just need to get the job. It worked for me when I was 13 but that seemed forever ago. Good Luck. |

Yes, you can get some jobs, but other jobs require you to be older, generally jobs where you use potentially dangerous machines. I'm not sure about where you live, but in NY state you need to get working papers to get a job when you are 14. The minimum age might also be different in your state. There are also requirements about how many hours per day and per week that you can work, and they differ during the school year and during the summer, and probably from state to state. |

Ask your school counselor or any who may know if there are youth jobs offer in your area. Most likely they will be offer during the summer. |

what state do you live in?
i live in texas and only some places hire fourteen year olds
like mcdonalds, grocrie stores, subway etc.
but you probabally get paid mimumin wage, and your job will be like mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms or something like that.
in a year, then you can legally get a job.
well it mostly depends on your state!

no you cant legally have a payroll job until 15 1/2 and then you have to have a work permit and there will be limitations on that. |
