Depends on how much you drive it. I've known cars to last well over 200,000 miles. It all depends on how quickly you put those miles on. But with Toyota's recent accelerator problem, your car may never stop lol. |

My family owns two Camrys. One is from 1994 and is still running (although it has had some problems and a paint job over the years) and one from 2003, which runs smoothly. So yes, I would believe so.
Edit: I lied. 1999 Camry. Not sure how I came up with 1994... My bad. Still 10+ though! |

Most newer cars can probably get to 200,000 miles if they're well maintained, and driven responsibly. But expect to do some repairs as the car gets older (or decide that some things might not be worth fixing).
Whether that means your car will last 10 or 20 years depends on how much driving you do - and it also depends on what kind of climate you live in; if you drive where they put salt on the roads in the winter, your car's life will probably be shortened somewhat by the risk of corrosion (rust).
Whether or not you think your car really will last that long, it makes sense to buy a used on rather than new, just as a way to save more money (anyway, if you're going to have your car for 10+ years, even if was new, it would only be new for a very small part of that time, so why bother getting it new at all?) |
