Depends what you mean by a threat.
If you are talking about garnisheeing your wages or attaching your bank account or taking a car or foreclosing on a mortgage that is one thing. I view those as all pretty serious but perfectly legal
Physical threats is different kettle of fish. Also a crime
Going to your employer. I think they can do that to garnishee wages... |

You can do 1 or 2 things:
1. Play their came and call them every 20 minutes stating
you're waiting for a call back
2. They next time they call, let them talk for a minutes or 2 and
inform them the calling is being recorded per your request
from the phone. Witch by the way, is done.
3. Or do what Belle said, blow the whistle. How come I never
thought of that myself? |

They cannot threaten you that is illegal, take the name of the person doing so and report them to the feds. also you can write to them and tell them not to call you and they have to honor that request |

They cannot,....... and sometimes people get behind on there bills because of a death or something in there household. It is not always because of not being responsible. (That goes to the one who said the comment about paying the bills! |
