Can a check be cashed after 3 years?
My wife has a Work check from a previous job in Hawaii 3 years ago. It's almost 1 grand. She never cashed it and just found it going through some papers..can she cash it? It's out of a Cruise line she used to work at and its a check directly from them out of the state of Hawaii.
You never noticed $1000 missing? Some checks have expiration dates, some do not. There is no hard and fast rule to cover all types of checks.

Your bank will probably consider the check to be "stale-dated" after 6 months. You should telephone the company and have them issue a new check.
