The person who the check is written out to has to sign it, but either of the account holders may deposit it or cash it. If the check is made out to BOTH of you then you BOTH have to sign it. Hope that helps! |

Usually. Most banks don't require any ID to make a deposit. (This means that anyone could make a deposit, even if they are not on the account, as long as the check that is being deposited is made out to the account holder's name.) It's if you want to cash the check or withdraw part of the amount that will be a problem. |

Usually anyone can make a deposit. Only withdrawals require a signature of one or both account holders. |

At my bank you can. My husband and I have a joint account and I sometimes deposit checks that have his name on them only. As long as you are depositing the check, they don't care whose name is on it. |

Yes, you can. They may ask you to put your name on the back of the check. Hope this helps. |

It depends on the bank you are using. Just to make sure that it goes through and you don't have to get the other person to write it out again, I'd look up the phone number and give the bank a call.
But it seems perfectly reasonable to be able to pay it in, so I'm sure it will work! |

Either person can make a deposit. Depending on the conditions of the account or the regulations of the bank, it may take both signatures to get money out. Sometimes not. |

In joint account who ever name is in the account can put check in the account and make withdrawal from account. Anyone of the holder can close the account and take all the money out of the account without other person permission. If the check is of other person they need to sign the check in the back |

Yes, there should be no problem. As long as one of the names on the account matches the name on the check, there is usually no problem depositing it. Banks are usually more sketchy about letting you make a withdrawal than make a deposit. |
