they are not allowed to force entry. make sure all your doors are securely locked and your windows too. if there is even an upstairs window open they are allowed to gain entry through that even if it means them climbing a drainpipe or a ladder. As long as your house is secure and they cant gain entry then youll be safe till monday when you can pay your debt but they might add more charges on for their visit and any other visits they might have planned. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT OPEN THE DOOR. dont let them see you hiding behind the couch or that either cause that might be seen as obstructing the law |

Either, make sure you're not there. Or move anything expensive into next doors till they've gone. Bailiffs will be happy with 1% of what's owing, it's just taking something to make a statement really. But it's probably too late to stop them coming. You could offer them some money when they get there, show them the paperwork for the loan, call the loan company while they are there and let them speak. But my advice is move out the expensive stuff and then get away for the day. |

You really need evidence of the money definatley being in your account on monday... this way dont let them in your house.. and if they call the police, you then have evidence to show the police, even a call to the loan company would do for the police.
I feel sorry for you I truly do. I hope you can manage your loan ok..Iv been there
good luck. |

Well I assume that they have been and listed the items of value, once you invited them in that was their invitation to come back, they have now served you with notice and today is the day. If you do not let them in then they will call out a locksmith which YOU will be charged for.
I am sorry because they will come in your house today, wether you pretend you are there or not, all you will do is mount charges. Your only real hope is to phone the baliffs and ask for a reasonable extension that you can keep to, with the weekend coming up you would do best to ask for 7 days grace, which they probably will give you.
So please don't waste time trying to find ways round this, just phone up the baliffs who have been instructed to collect this debt, ask them for 7 days, if they say no then be in the house and let them in, nobody can change this at such short notice except the baliffs who have the debt, or the persons that you owe the debt to, so just work on them both once the phone lines open this morning.
I would say from expierience you stand a good chance, but it will be a final chance and you'll not get it again after the 7 day grace. all the very best. |

go straight to your local citizen's advice bureau this morning - they will be able to check to make sure that the bailiffs have followed all the rules and that they have adhered to the code of conduct. they will also try to negotiate on your behalf with the bailiff firm, take confirmation of your loan which you are getting and they will confirm to the bailiffs that you are raising the money.
they will also help you sort out any other debts you have and your new debt (the loan), all their advice is free and confidential and they will not judge you - there are thousands of people who come to CAB in debt, they all have different reasons for getting in debt and nobody does it on purpose it just comes from changes in circumstances like relationship breakdown, job loss, or from being on a low income/benefits for a long period.
to find a bureau in your area see this link http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/
you should read through this fact sheet on bailiffs produced by CAB http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/d_bailiffs.pdf
it says:
"In many cases, you don't have to let the bailiffs in and they can't force their way into your property. However, they are allowed into your property without your permission if they can enter without breaking in. This is called 'gaining peaceful entry' and includes getting in through an unlocked door or open window. Sometimes, bailiffs are allowed to break in to your property. For example, if you've got unpaid criminal fines, bailiffs working for the magistrates' court can, in some circumstances, use reasonable force to get into your home to seize goods."
but please go and get professional advice asap |

If the debt is due by close of business tomorrow the bailiff won't be able to come out until start of business the next day the courts are open. Show them proof that the money is coming and then you must make good on your promises. The deadlines must pass and then the paperwork must be processed. If you are there within the first few minutes of opening the next business day, you should be fine. |

Assuming you are in England or Wales!
Why did you leave it to the last minute?
Go to the court that issued the warrant, fill in a form to suspend the warrant for seven days. Ask to see a judge urgently, you must do this before the bailiff arrives!
If you can't be bothered to do this, borrow the money off a relative, (after all, they only have to wait till monday).
If that doesn't work, say goodbye to your possessions!
Actually I'm concerned that you are borrowing money to get OUT of debt! You need some long term advice, speak to the CAB. (If you are in England or wales that is) |

If the bayliffs have al;ready been into ur property they can re enter. make it more difficult by locking all doors and windows, dont anwser the door and they will put their foot in door. make a call to thier office and say u have an emergency, u wont be at home till sunday, they cant come to u on a sunday. that gives u time to get to bank monday and get sorted. |

If it is a tax debt then they can legaly break in but if not then just dont answer the door - they cant take anything if they cant get in. |

Contact the court that issued the distress warrant. They may suspend it until Monday.
Contact the bailiff - BEFORE they visit your property - they will charge you if they visit you.
Keep all doors and windows locked. Shut all curtains (bailiffs sometimes try to list goods through the window). Move your vehicle somewhere else or it could be clamped or towed away. Even though a a bailiff can't cause criminal damage or break into your house for normal "credit" debts they can break into sheds etc.
Even better, go out for the day. Bailiffs shouldn't contact you except between 8am and 9pm.
email me if you need more specific advice (assuming you are in England or Wales). |

'Phone the Social Work Dept ..I know they do deal with these matters and can intercede on your behalf and give you the necessary clout to deal with the bailiffs to stave off immediate repossessions or impoundings. Good luck! |
