would not do it that way!! If time is the problem ,, got to the bank the check is written off of ! They all say a banks name on em ! They have to cash it even for non-customers, ! Then go deposit the cash at your bank -in person, not ATM,, that would be the quickest way !This will also avoid paying to cash your check! |

Have a little patience and just deposit your check. Those check cashing places don't cash your check for free. They take a hefty fee. Why waste your money? |

Yes you can do this. Remember that the check cashing place is going to charge you a fee. If the check is a payroll check, many banks do not place a hold on the deposit. Another option is to go to a branch of the bank the check is drawn on and cash the check there. For example, if the check was written by someone on a Chase checking account, then you can cash the check at a Chase bank and take your cash with you. |

Of course you can! But if the check you want to cash is a PAYROLL check then it shouldn't be held(at least my bank doesn't). Some banks don't hold paychecks just ask your bank if they do. |

Why are check cashing businesses one of the fastest growing in the country?
Because they charge outrageous fees. Remember, patience is a virtue.
Go to another bank where they will let you have some of your check in cash.
Supermarkets cash checks - try them.
Get a debit card from the bank. Deposit your check and get cash back from the ATM.

You can put cash into your checking account... there are deposit slips usually at the end of your checks. If that check bounces though, the place you had it cashed at might charge more though than your bank would. |
