I received a check for 3,050.00 usd and it's from KGS Financial Inc/Better and Better Technologies Inc. they claim that I won this money from a Lottery Draw in the United Kingdom. It's an actual check but I questioned it because I've never entered a raffle or lottery in the united kingdom. Has anyone received anything similar to this? |

No, Don't cash the check! Its a scam! If you cash it the banks will find out that its a fraudulant check and you'll have to pay all that back to the bank.
I got one also and my bank checked it out while I was there IT WAS FRAUD,

No it isn't. This is a scam. Please do not cash it. Have you played the United Kingdom lottery NO becase there is none. This is a comon scam. Next, they will try to get money from you to supposedly release the international funds.

A winner in a raffle you never entered and you have to ask if it is fake?????
Please do not take this to the bank, the teller there at the window will probably tell you that the check is good and it might be a 'real' check. BUT if the checking account is real the check will show up as 'good'....but it could be a stolen account wherein the owner does not know his account has been compromised yet.
For example, if someone stole a check out of the back of your checkbook, the check would be 'good' and 'real'...when that check gets cashed all is well until you get YOUR statement andyou cry foul. Now the check is no good...who do you think will have to pay for this?

Take it to the bank and tell them you want to know if this is legit. they can do it for you and then if it is (which I think not) you can have them deposit it in your account, otherwise let them deal with it. |
