they can with some companies.
You have to decide though if you really need to get into debt and what do you risk losing if you cannot pay it back.

it depends what you want it for. in some cases the DSS do loans which you pay back though your benefits and crisis loans. the most common lender to unemployed is the provident but the interest is very high |

The only time you can get a loan when unemployed and on benifits is if you have the capital (i.e. a house) to secure a loan on. Also to ensure that if you don't pay the loan off they will take your house |

Have you a Credit Union in your area (check Yellow Pages)? They do low cost loans for people in your situation, far cheaper than Provident or banks. You need to join and save something regularly with them, and you can usually get a loan after a while, usually the maximum depends on how much you have been able to save. |
