Absolutely.
You can drive a truck for a living and wait till you are like 35 to buy a house, since the trucks have beds in them.
You can save every last penny you make after taxes by not paying rent or utilities for 15 years of driving a rig. You will only need to buy food and clothes at Wal*Mart.
Union & ABF / Yellow freight truckers make $60,000 a year. BMW, UPS / FedEx truckers make $80,000 a year. Starting pay for a Trucker is about $25,000 a year. After 3 years with a clean record, you can get a trucking job anywhere.
I spend about $6,000 a year on food & about $200 a year on clothes. If you spend like that and work 300 days a year, and get an investment advisor after you have some serious cash saved up, you will be a millionare and then some in 15 years.
You need to learn how to make your money work for you instead of just working for you money pay check to pay check till you are 80 years old, that is plain stupid. While you are young, learn about short term loans. These will pay you roughly 16% interest. Yes YOU loan the money instead of being societies puppet and getting the loans from the bank or who ever. fck that.
Once you retire from driving a rig and you have $1.3 Million or so [if you make 16% interest early and save EVERY penny it will be more like $4.5 million] you can buy a small house for a few hundred grand [ which will be a VERY modest house by that time], and never live on more than $25,000 a year for the rest of your life, you will be set till you die.
When you take this route, it is A LOT of work. You won't have time for kids or a man. When you get to be 30 / 35 and retired, THEN you can get married. But why ? if you do, he gets 1/2 the money you earned if he divorces you.
If you do decide to get married, get a prenuptial agreement. If he wont sign it, DO NOT marry him.
Oh. One last thing. I read ALL the answers you got before I posted this. They are jerks, and they don't know the answer to your question at all. The lottery is for chumps.
Knowledge is power. The more you know the less likely you are to get taken advantage of. - learn something new every week.
Schooling without life experience is just an empty piece of paper. if you deliberately forget everything and situation you see, you will never become a professional powerhouse. You will never reach your true potential and will always need to depend on other people for mundane things.
Life is empty and meaningless if you only do it for the money. Do what you love & love what you do. |
