and they tried to insinuate that i was a leech on the country.....i and my wife have never worked but this is how we like it, we like to spend our time at home with our kids, something these so called 'great parents' with jobs do not do.
And as for contributing to society, well in a country with an ageing population i have produced 5 children to secure our future,,..beat that. but my question is when will society recognise the value that people like me and my wife bring to our future

And If by some small miracle this isn't your idea of a sad joke - get a job like everybody else has to. You aren't great parents if you are leeching and teaching your children its okay to get money for nothing. They won't respect you for it and neither certainly will anyone on here. |

I raised 3 kids worked a full time job and went to college as a single Mom to be abe to do better for my kids. Yes I received welfare benefits to feed my kids because my income was not enough and I was trying my darndest. As soon as I could I let those benefits go. You both do not need to be there at least ONE of you could get out there and work. No I feel not one bit of sympathy for you and other lazy leaches out there.
I do not see it as cruel if you ask a question and we answer with our honest opinion. For those of us that work and contribute to Social Security and pay taxes to support those like you who will not work we find it a bit unfair. |

If you are claiming benefit when you are not sick but just because you don't want to work,then I agree with dept of social security you are a leech on the country. People like me have worked all our life paying tax and nat insurance why should we support you. Many parents manage to look after their children and work. I suggest you give it a try |

I think the labour exchange is an immoral joke with a massive human cost. It's laughable that the same officials who'll criticise you for your "laziness", sometimes go on to ask questions like: why is the birth rate declining, and why aren't people getting together in the first place?
Yeah, there's not a single clue is there. Nope. No leads to follow at all, it's a total mystery...
Stress related mental illness is at an all time high. People's lives are being marginalized by the sheer number of hours now involved in employment- and worst of all, the sick little drones are turning it into a point of pride! No fool like a working class hero, eh?

I do understand your point,truly i do, but i suppose that the tax from my wages are paying for this. I would love to do the same but i could not survive. I have been on the dole before very briefly and it is not a nice existence,living hand to mouth! I think your right that no-one really looks at raising kids,hence all this crime and teenage stabbings. Time has become something of a luxury now. I leave my house at 7.30am and return at 7.30 pm, so go figure, how could i have a kid and raise it to be a decent member of society. I think you should be proud and hey, if it is my tax tthat'shelping you do this then that'salright with me. Good luck. |
