The only catch to buying products online with any type of card, is that it usually has to have one of the premium logos attached (Visa, MC). Most banks offer debit cards with credit card logos. The money will still come out of your checking account. You're other option would be to check if your bank offers prepaid credit cards. I ordered one for my daughter through our bank and it's a great way for her to keep track of her spending habits. |

Yes - but I don't think it's all that safe! Better if you get a pre-paid credit card. Then you put the amount on it that you want to spend, but the seller cannot get access to your actual bank account!
I fell victim to a horrible bank fraud not long ago because I gave my bank details either over the phone or online, so I'm probably a bit paranoid, but it's better to be safe than sorry! |

Yes. A debit card means you can 'debit' your account.
Online you use the 16 digit number accross the front of your card, the expiry date. Valid from date and the 3 digit security code on the back on the card.
