A personal loan is out. Your credit has to be impeccable for that. If you wish to establish credit, the easiest way is through a credit card, but don't allow yourself to get in over your head. In other words, use the card for smaller purchases and pay them off each month. This will keep you out of debt and will establish good credit. |

Unfortunely, it doesn't work like that. You only have one record of credit. You can apply for a loan, and be approved by if you credit is bad you'd have a higher interest rate because you are a higher risk for the bank.
You can also get a copy of your credit report free online, and maybe see if you do get approved for a loan and pay off some of that bad debt to start repairing your credit. Just make sure to pay the new loan on time and all. =)

You can always apply, but you may not receive the loan you want.
The best way to rebuild your credit is to be responsible with paying all of your bills, whether they be a cell phone bill or rent. Never pay them late if you can help it. |

first of all, you will not get a "new record of credit." it takes at least 7 years for most things to drop off of your credit report. You need to look for one of those "second chance" places to try to get a loan. It will be difficult though. If you are approved, make sure you never, ever, ever, miss a payment or are late or else you are just digging yourself an even deeper hole for 7 more years. |

You can apply yes, but depending on how bad your credit is will determine if they approve you or not. Good for you for trying to straighten things out but really a loan is a bad idea. If you have debt start off with the smallest bill you have, pay as much as you can on it, while you pay minimum on the rest and just knock them out one by one. Getting a loan can make things faster or so it seems but really you end up paying more money. You will have higher interest on a higher amount and especially if you say your credit is bad. If you are going to go for a loan anyway, stay away from places like Citi group. Intrest is way too high and not worth the trouble.

Unless you have a co-signer or collateral (like a paid off new car which you could use in case you defaulted the loan they would take that) the best place for you to go is the prepaid credit card. You put X amount of money on the card say 500 to 2000 of your money pay it off like any other credit card and it will count towards building your credit back up. I strongly suggest if you do that you have them take out the payment automatically so your never late on a payment. |

Probably not without paying a high intrest rate or having to obtain a cosigner.
I suggest you look into debt consolidation or budget your money better and pay off the bills you have. |

You could apply, but it is unlikely you would get one. If you did, you would be paying a really high percentage of interest. My husband and I went through this and I had to put everything in my name because he went through a bankruptcy with his ex-wife. |

Always keep in mind, if you cannot get a loan from a local bank or a local loan place you will most likely not get a loan. There are alot of scam companies out there. Beware of websites that offer bad credit loans as alot/most of them are scam companies. IT IS ILLEGAL in the United States for any loan company to ask for funds up front. Ex. 5 payments up front, an insurance policy etc. DO NOT send any MONEY to Canada. That is how the scams work. Do not fill out applications on line until you have checked these companies out. Always look at rip-off reports to see if any are filed on a company you are dealing with. Once they have all your personal information, they got you. ex. social security Number, bank account number etc. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO ANY PLACE UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED THEM OUT! for a scam company list check out www.badcreditloanwarning.com |

Depend on which bank and what bad is your credits, you might still getting, but gonna be sky rocket interenst rate, and please don't goes to payday loan, they charge you aleast 20+% interest just for start up and increase dramatic when you late once. Best is you if friend or family can help you. |
