you could but be ready to pay a hign interest rate -- you might be better waiting a few months till things settle down a wee bit and add more to your down payment. short job history will also be held against you -- and what do you have sat aside for a rainy day and everyone has them!!!

It depends on the breoker you buy through, and the company you finance through. I currently have a bankruptcy and only work part time, but I got approved for a mortgage that I can afford on my own.

wazup1971
You can be approved, but the interest is going to be high.

The best thing is to get a credit card and pay it every month to improve your credit.

Maybe with a subprime lender, but you'd be better off to wait and try to improve your credit. You could save A LOT by taking a year to work on your credit score and by then you would have been at your job for a while longer, which could help you too.

Good question! It is harder to get a loan with a new job and a low credit score, but it is possible.

The companies want you to have a job so that they can be assured that they will recieve at least the minimum payments required every month. If you can show them that you will be a secure investment for them, then you should not have to worry about the job.

I actually found a blog that has two articles that might help you, one is titled "Home Loans with a Low Credit Score" it's link is http://www.finance-your-life.com/?p=27

The other one the site has is called "Finding a Bad Credit Home Loan" it's link is http://www.finance-your-life.com/?p=28

Check them out, they have some good info

Happy Saturday

most of the time the banks will not write a conventional mortgage if your credit isn't up to snuff...and your mortgage will come at a great cost...like 7% to 10% or greater, depending on your credit score...
I suggest you get someone with great credit, pay them a fee of $1000.00 to co-sign and get the mortgage you want at below 6%.....
and the house is yours.
good luck

There is a credit crunch and a fall in the U.S. housing market. Even people with stellar credit may have trouble getting a loan or have to pay super high interest rates. Never say never though. You might get lucky and find a deal. It will just be harder than it has been in the recent past.
