Try apply for a debit card. |

you need to establish credit, so go to a bank and start a secured credit card. After you have been established you will not get rejected. Also don't send out a ton of applications. The more people look at your credit the worse it gets.
Good Luck |

I work for Bank of America as a Credit Card rep. How it works is that you need a credit score of 660 at minimum or better to actually get a credit card. From there, if its too low your limit will be small. If you keep getting rejected, signing up constantly is not good. Because you're credit score lowers everytime you sign up. The next best option if a credit card is ABSOLUTELY needed, Secured Credit Cards. Where you deposit a certain amount of money required to have that credit card. It gives you a small limit, but hey. It's a credit card. Use that to build your credit. Once it graduates, from secured, it becomes a regular card. Then your limit will go up. |

As others have posted, a secured credit card is your best option. Check with your bank and some websites to see if they offer one.
In the United States, almost everyone has a FICO credit score. The higher the score, the better your credit rating. FICO scores consider whether or not you have a bank account, how you have handled credit in the past (were you ever late on payments?), age of your credit cards (does not apply in your case), and some other factors. FICO scores DO NOT consider your income, which surprises many people...a rich executive can have a lower score than a janitor.
One tip is to never, ever pay just the minimum amount on a credit card bill. Pay at least a few dollars more.
In your situation, perhaps your employer has a company credit card that you can use for business travel.
Good luck! |

Do you have your green card? If you are an American you should have no problem getting one. |

Hmmmm, Capital One might give you one. |

The only card you can get is a secured card. Meaning you have to pay the balance up front to be able to use that piece of plastic. Invest in Traveller's cheques. |
